Refresh Routes: When the Distributed Cost Calculation function is enabled by the Operator, the Refresh Routes option becomes accessible. This option is only available in select circumstances. The Orchestrator is responsible for actively participating in the process of learning the dynamic routes by default. The Orchestrator is responsible for calculating initial route preferences and returning them to the Edge and Gateway. Edges and Gateways rely on the Orchestrator.” The Distributed Cost Calculation feature makes it possible to delegate the calculation of route costs to the Edges and Gateways of the network deployment.
When you click Refresh Routes, the Edges and Gateways recalculate the costs of the routes they have learned and send those numbers to the Orchestrator. Changes to the Overlay Flow Control are also made right away to both new and old learned routes.
