Unit 1: Network Infrastructure
This will allow you to demonstrate your networking skills, knowledge, and abilities, with a focus on enterprise-level switching, routing, and multicast components that support cross-platform (inter)operability and integration with the most recent software-defined technologies.
Stuck- in- Active (EIGRP)
When requests are not replied to within the default timer of 3 minutes, an EIGRP SIA condition is triggered. Due to the fact that EIGRP queries make use of a reliable multicast communication, a response is required.
The following is an illustration of a topology in which R1 initiates a query process that then cascades through the distribution network. Within the span of 3 minutes, R3 does not receive a response from R5:
At the end of the allotted period, R3 will go into SIA mode and reset its neighbor relationship with R5. This will erase any routes that were learned via that neighbor until the two routers formally update their routing tables again.
A notification titled EIGRP DUAL-3-SIA has been created.
