Unit 1: Network Infrastructure
This will allow you to demonstrate your networking skills, knowledge, and abilities, with a focus on enterprise-level switching, routing, and multicast components that support cross-platform (inter)operability and integration with the most recent software-defined technologies.
One pair of routers is all that is required to link a point-to-point network. According to a point-to-point rule, there can be only one neighbor on the link at any given time. In situations where there is more than one interface, it is recommended that you utilize the point-to-multipoint network layout. When using a point-to-point network, valid neighbors will always get adjacent to one another. All OSPF packets are sent to the network address 224.0.0.5 as their destination.
The finding of neighbors is a simple experience. The address 224.0.0.5 receives hello packets, and if the packets include valid types, an adjacency between the neighbors takes place. The Point-to-Point network type allows for the adjacency of exactly two neighbors on a segment to be supported.
