Two or more spokes in a DMVPN often link to the same LAN segment. The diagram below provides an illustration of this:
Spoke 1 and Spoke 2 in this example are both linked to the same LAN subnet, which is 20.20.20.0/24. Except in cases where spokes 1 and 2 are directly connected, all traffic between the spokes in this Phase I version of DMVPN travels via the hub. Hub1 sees the path to 20.20.20.0/24 as two routes that are load balanced:
